Murphy came to the S. Ford
Foundation suffering the consequences of neglect. He also has a genetic condition which causes him to not grow an even coat of fur on his face & feet. This does not affect his health, just his coat. Murphy needs someone who will look past his cosmetic appearance and give him the loving home he deserves. Murphy is an active dog who needs regular exercise and obedience training. Please contact us if you would like to know more about Murphy!
Wilbur is a 1-2 yr old lab mix looking for his forever home. He was hit by a car, and then came to the attention of the S. Ford Foundation for Animals. They surgically repaired his leg and he's on the road to recovery. He is one of the sweetest dogs we've ever met. He's also a bit of a ham, and had no problems posing for pictures! He is on a rehabilitation scheduleand is now taking leash walks. He likes other dogs and loves people (especially if they want to take his picture). Please contact us if you'd like to know more about Wilbur.
Harriet is a spayed German Shepherd mix is a wonderful 13 year old gal with much love still to give a new family. She was mostly an indoor dog in her previous home. She loves people and desires interaction and attention from her human friends. She was living with a 12-year old child before she found herself at the shelter. And staff is confident she would love to have older kids in her new home. Despite being 13 years young, Harriet is quite active and playful. In fact, she’s active enough to still chase cats so she would be better suited in a new household without cats! She loves leisurely strolls and would be a fantastic walking partner. Staff has given Harriet a thorough physical exam, including blood work. They’ve found sweet Harriet to be nothing but a happy, healthy dog who desperately needs a new family to love her in her golden years. Harriet is available for immediate adoption at the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility. Please contact Linda Septon at 619-691-5174 or LSepton@ci.chula-vsita.ca.us

Taj is a male cattle dog mix who is looking for his forever home. What a cool dog! We don't know much about where he's been, but he came to the S.Ford Foundation with an injured back leg that is now being properly cared for. We estimate that he is 4 yrs old, and he weighs 35 lbs. He should recover quickly and will need a home with the love and care that he deserves. Taj is sweet, and likes people and other dogs. Please contact us if you'd like to know more about Taj.
Sid is our sweet hound mix. He's about 3 years old and recovering from a broken front leg. As you can see from his pictures, Sid is really feeling much better! Sid is expected to make a full recovery, and will be ready for adoption in 1 month. We are still learning about him, but we can tell you that he is an extraordinarily sweet boy who will make someone a loyal companion. Sid gets along with other dogs. We are looking for a home that will provide Sid with love, daily exercise, and a safe environment. Please contact us if you'd like to know more about Sid.
Luther is a 2 year old Chihuahua-Jack Russell Terrier mix with a bright attitude. Luther came to The Foundation with a bracheal plexus (nerve damage) in the shoulder area, which was probably caused from trauma of a hit by car. While he's not in an pain, this injurgy has caused his right foot to curved under at the wrist and he uses it as a peg leg. He wears a booty on that leg so it does not drag on the floor, but it definately doesn't slow! He's very affectionate, playful, and full of life. He tends to be more on the dominant side, he would be best in a home with no other dogs. Please contact us if you'd like to know more about Luther.

Johnny was born in Mexico on September 22, 2006. Some nice people brought me to Phoenix AZ to live. Only thing the Mommy there had way too much going on with two small children plus me. As the summer weather was getting hotter and the Mommy didn't want me in the house it was decided I should move to where is was cooler. I have been in foster care for a few months while I was neutered and my Dermodex was cured. Now I am ready for a forever home.contact us
Molly As seen on TV, Miss Molly is an older Chihuahua. She came to the S. Ford Foundation in need of surgery for a HUGE inguinal hernia. Surgery was performed and Molly is 100% recovered. Molly tolerates other dogs but may prefer to be an only dog. She likes women more then men, but will be happy any place she can find a warm lap to sit on. She especially loves a good blanket. Older dogs are often overlooked, but they have so much love to offer and none of the puppy challenges. Please contact us if you'd like to know more about Molly.
Karl Karl is a very cute 4-6 month old Shepherd mix. He was found in San Diego with a severe fracture of his femur. Luckily, our surgeon was able to repair his leg and he's getting around just fine now! Karl is very friendly with other dogs and with people, but would probably do the best in a home with children over the age of 10. Karl is neutered, microchipped, and is up to date with his vaccinations...
